Mathify for Android · last updated 10 October 2026

In short: we keep only what the app needs to work — your account, your results and, if you use them, your study groups. We do not sell your data. You can delete your account in the app at any time. Usage statistics help us improve the app, and you can turn them off.

1. Who we are

Mathify is a math exam-preparation app for Android, made by an independent developer. This policy covers the app and this website. Questions about privacy go to b0sd3v@gmail.com.

2. What we collect, and why

DataWhy
Email address, and your Google account's name and ID if you sign in with GoogleTo create your account and sign you in (Firebase Authentication). Passwords are handled by Google and never seen by us.
Name, username and chosen avatarYour profile. The username and avatar are what other users see.
Test answers, scores, statistics, XP, streaks and progress per topicTo keep your results, show your progress and choose tasks you have not seen.
Premium status and tokensTo give you what you paid for. Purchases are checked with Google Play; we keep the purchase reference, never your card details.
Study groups: group name, members, join requestsTo run the groups you create or join.
Live room data: who is in the room, answers, chat messagesFor a test taken together. A room is deleted when the test ends, and at the latest within 24 hours.
Reports about a task and app ratings you sendTo fix mistakes in tasks and improve the app.
Device notification token and installed app versionTo send notifications (daily test, group requests, a new version).
Crash reports (device model, Android version, what went wrong)To find and fix bugs (Firebase Crashlytics). They do not contain your test content.
Usage statistics: which screens and features you use, test results (numbers only, no task content), device model, Android version, approximate countryTo see what helps and to improve the app (Google Analytics for Firebase). Not linked to your name, email or advertising ID. You can turn it off in Settings → Privacy.

Your language, theme and sound settings stay on your device and are not sent to us.

3. What other users see

Your email, name and statistics are never shown to other users.

4. Advertising

The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID and similar data to show and measure ads, as described in Google's advertising policy. You can reset that ID or turn off personalized ads in your Android settings. In the EU, the EEA and the UK, the app asks for your consent through Google's consent form before showing any ads; you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy. Premium users see no ads.

5. Services we rely on

Each processes data under Google's own privacy policy. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

6. How long we keep it, and deleting your account

Your data stays as long as your account exists. Live rooms are deleted within 24 hours. You can delete your account in the app at any time: Profile → Delete account. Your profile, results, groups and requests are deleted at once, together with the sign-in account. If you no longer have the app, write to b0sd3v@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and we will do it within 30 days. A record of past purchases (without profile data) is kept so the same purchase cannot be claimed twice.

7. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to its processing or withdraw consent. If you are in the EU or a country with similar law, you may also complain to your data protection authority.

8. Children

Mathify is meant for secondary-school students preparing for exams. It is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, write to us and we will delete it.

9. Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted. Access to the data is limited by server-side rules: you can read only your own profile, and only members can read a group.

10. Changes

When this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date. Important changes are also announced in the app.
